We are pleased to announce that following the continued easing of lockdown restrictions, Leander Club is reopening with a bar and dining service.
Our first event will take place over what should have been ‘Regatta weekend’. We will be marking the occasion by hosting daily picnics in our walled garden from 3rd to 5th July. There will also be a mini firework display on the Friday and Saturday nights.
We have 20 dedicated 3m x 3m entertainment spaces, suitable for up to 6 people, available each day. Dress your space with your own blankets, chairs, tables and even a candelabra and gazebo if you like! Alternatively, there are limited chairs and tables available on a first come, first served basis. Please enquire at time of booking for availability.
You are welcome to bring your own food and soft drinks only (as bringing your own alcohol is not permitted under our licencing restrictions).
Our bars will be serving draught and bottled beer, cider, spirits, wine and soft drinks, as well as Pimms and our very own Leander Pink of course – so you won’t go thirsty!

Join us anytime from 4 – 11.30 pm.
Dressing up in Regatta attire is encouraged but not obligatory. Don’t forget to wrap up warm so you can stay cosy as our very own mini firework display will take place at 10.30 pm.

Sunday 5th July (fully booked)
Join us between 12- 6 pm.
This is a chance to make it a family affair; chill out and bring the children along. Order a hamper, children’s picnic box or bring your own picnic.
Spaces are £30 each and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Each space can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults (children are welcome and are in addition to this limit). To join the waiting list, please contact Laura Andrew by email or call the Club on 01491 575782.

Our Leander hampers are filled with delicious food and drink, ready to serve six people. Each £100 hamper includes:
- poached salmon
- potato salad
- homemade pork pie
- charcuterie selection
- cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches
- coronation chicken sandwiches
- prawn sandwiches with marie rose sauce
- cheese board and homemade chutney
- strawberry cheesecake
- homemade lemonade
- disposable crockery and cutlery
Simply collect your hamper on arrival and leave the empty hamper on departure.
Please note, you can order a hamper at anytime after the Henley Weekend too. Simply give us plenty of notice when you order, so we can prepare your feast.

Useful information about the garden picnics
Once you have booked, we will send out your Leander badges. These are your tickets for the event.
Don’t forget to bring your Membership card to access the car park.
We request that Members and their guests follow the latest guidelines regarding social distancing and ‘support bubbles’ at all times. Each picnic space will have a margin around it to facilitate this.
On arrival, please proceed to your allocated picnic space.
The building has been cleaned and the ground floor toilets have been converted to accommodate both ladies and gentlemen.
New Club opening times from 7th July
We kindly ask Members and their guests to observe social distancing and ‘support bubbles’ at all times. While we are encouraging Members to eat outside in the garden, seating will be available indoors, in inclement weather.

Tuesday – Friday
Choose your lunch or supper from our fresh, pared-down menu, available from 7th July. Please click here to see the menu and opening times.
Saturdays will be BBQ days (weather dependent) and we’ll be serving 12-8 pm. Families, including children and dogs are welcome in the garden until 6 pm.
The BBQ will offer a range of meat and vegetarian main course dishes with salads and side dishes.
