Exceptional Representation in the GB Team for the 2026 World Rowing Championships
As Great Britain announces its squad for the 2026 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, Leander Club is proud to celebrate an extraordinary cohort of athletes selected across the men’s, women’s, and para squads. With the Bosbaan hosting its first World Championships since 2014, Leander rowers will once again be central to Britain’s ambitions on the world stage.
This year’s Championships carry particular significance: qualification for the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games begins next season, making Amsterdam a critical proving ground.
Men’s Squad
Men’s Four – an all‑Leander powerhouse
The standout unbeaten crew of 2026 is built almost entirely from Leander talent:

- Douwe de Graaf (Leander Club)
- George Bourne (Leander Club)
Having dominated both World Rowing Cups I and III, this crew enters Amsterdam as one of Britain’s strongest medal prospects.
Men’s Quadruple Sculls – Leander depth across the boat
A formidable sculling unit featuring three Leander athletes:
- Cedol Dafydd (Leander Club)
- Tobias Schröder (Leander Club / Oxford University BC)
- Rory Harris (Leander Club / Reading University BC)
Their Lucerne victory and Shanghai silver underline their consistency and threat. They will be looking to beat the Italy crew that pipped them to the win at HRR.
Men’s Eight – two Leander athletes in Britain’s blue‑riband boat
The Grand Challenge Cup winners include:

With the Netherlands racing on home water, this crew will be chasing a statement performance.

Women’s Quadruple Sculls – Olympic pedigree with Leander excellence
Two Olympic champions in pink:
- Lola Anderson (Leander Club / Newcastle University BC)
- Hannah Scott (Bann RC / Leander Club)
They join Finn Stratton and Imogen Grant in a quad that has already claimed gold in Lucerne and Henley’s Princess Grace Challenge Cup.

Women’s Pair – Leander reserve strength
- Lauren Carey (Leander Club) – reserve, subject to final selection.

Eleanor will be supporting three teammates who will be making their debuts at a senior World Championships.
