The 2026 GB Rowing Final Trials at Caversham provided an important assessment opportunity ahead of the international season. Leander Club athletes featured prominently across multiple events, with 30% of the entire entry representing the club.
Leander athletes took home wins in the Men’s double, Men’s Pair and Women’s Pair, and second place in the Women’s double – with a host of other incredible results across the board.

Men’s Double Sculls (M2x)
• 🥇 Tobias Schröder / Cedol Dafydd
• 🥈 James Cartwright / Jamie Gare
Schröder and Dafydd produced a strong performance to take victory, with Cartwright and Gare close behind in second place. Both crews remained competitive throughout the race, particularly through the middle and closing sections. Alex King and Ollie Costley finished 5th in the A final, Joe Cunliffe and Aidan Thompson finished 2nd in the B final.

• 🥇 George Bourne / Douwe de Graaf
• 🥈 Harry Geffen
• 🥉 Miles Beeson / Archie Drummond
The men’s pair event featured several closely matched combinations. Bourne and de Graaf finished first, with Geffen taking second place and Beeson alongside Drummond completing the podium in third. Zak Jenkins and Ben Brockway finished 5th in a tightly contested B final, with Leander athletes Levin Graf and Robbie Prosser winning the C final ahead of a composite crew containing Leander’s James Purves-Lidelle finishing in 2nd.

Women’s Double Sculls (W2x)
• 🥈 Lola Anderson / Becky Wilde
Anderson and Wilde produced a consistent race to finish second, remaining in contention throughout a competitive final. Rachel Alridge racing as part of a composite boat finished 5th in the A-final with Jenny Bates and Katie Mole finishing 3rd in the B final.

• 🥇 Eleanor Brinkhoff
• 🥉 Katherine George
Brinkhoff and Slabbert finished first after a controlled race, while George secured third place in a tightly contested field. Pheobe Snowden and Zoe Mccutcheon Won the B-final with Grace Richard and Charlotte Fennel finishing 5th and Olivia Caeser and Daisy Jackson finishing 4th in the B-final.
