European Champs

Olympic fever is growing as GB retain their position as top rowing nation in Europe after bringing home 10 medals at the 2024 European Rowing Championships in Szeged, Hungary. Women’s four (W4-) 

Gold: Helen Glover (Minerva Bath RC), Esme Booth, Sam Redgrave, Rebecca Shorten (IC)

Men’s eight (M8+) 

Gold: Sholto Carnegie, Rory Gibbs (Oxford Brookes), Morgan Bolding (Oxford Brookes), Jacob Dawson, Charlie Elwes, Tom Digby, James Rudkin (Newcastle Uni), Tom Ford and cox Harry Brightmore

Women’s quad (W4x)

Gold: Lauren Henry, Hannah Scott, Lola Anderson and Georgie Brayshaw 

Men’s quadruple sculls (M4x) 

Fourth: Callum Dixon (Twickenham), Tom Barras, Matt Haywood (Notts and Burton) and Graeme Thomas (Agecroft)

Men’s pair (M2-)

Gold: Ollie Wynne-Griffith and Tom George 

PR3 Mixed coxed four (PR3 Mix4+)

Gold: Leander’s Erin Kennedy coxed Frankie Allen, Josh O’Brien, Giedre Rakauskaite, Ed Fuller to win with a 13-second lead on France.

Women’s eight (W8+)

Silver: Heidi Long, Rowan McKellar, Holly Dunford, Eve Stewart, Lauren Irwin, Emily Ford, Hattie Taylor, Annie Campbell-Orde, and cox Henry Fieldman

Men’s single (M1x)

Sixth: George Bourne
