Matt Beechey reports: Leander had a busy day racing in the extremely blustery head wind conditions in Boston Lincolnshire. Many of our international men and women were racing as well as our Club-based women and men.

In the men’s pairs, Harry Glennister placing second, backed up his win in the November trials, the Club-based pair of James Vogal and Ryan Todhunter, placed 6th overall, mixing in with some squad-based pairs.

In the men’s singles, Leander Olympic silver medalist Harry Leask, took the win with five other Leander scullers in the top nine.

The women raced in an ever-increasing head wind condition. Squad-based athlete Rowan McKellar took the win in the Women’s pairs with Club athletes Natasha-Harris White and Juliette Perry, finishing 8th overall.

In the Women’s singles, Lola Anderson just missed out on the win, coming second overall by two seconds to Olympian, Hannah Scott. Club-based athlete Imogen Magner ranked 12th overall

Our attention now turns to a busy fixture period.
