U23 gold rush

Great Britain took gold in the Men’s eight, the Women’s eight, the Women’s four and the Women’s quadruple sculls, to finish the 2025 World Rowing U23 Championships in style, top of the medal table with twenty-six athletes returning home from Poznan as U23 World Champions – 12 of these being Leander Club athletes.

Representing Leander Club in the British men’s eight was Josh Brangan, Cameron Beyki, Harry Geffen, Ben Mead and Cameron Tasker.

Racing in the women’s eight was Lilly Wood, Ailish Harkin, Abigail Dawson, Alice Baker and Nikita Jacobs.

Ellie Kate Hutchinson and Imogen Cabot, took victory again in the women’s four.

Ross Hunter, Women’s Chief Coach said: “As a club we couldn’t be prouder of these athletes and their results. It is always a privilege to represent your country and the work that these young individuals have put in is nothing short of incredible.”
