Marlow Regatta highlights

At Marlow Regatta on Saturday 21 June, the men brought home the win in the Championship Doubles, with our other crews in the mix in the finals.

Championship Eights

Our gap year crew raced superbly in the time trial, qualifying in first spot. In the final, the boys were disappointed with their row but still produced a respectable result, coming 5th against strong competition.

Men’s Quad

The men’s quad qualified for the final in third spot from the time trial and a few hours later came 3rd in the final.

Championship Pairs

Archie White and Ryder Aptu raced in the Championship pairs event and finished 3rd.

Men’s Double Sculls (2x)

Bryn Ellery and Dan Jones were victorious by three seconds over a London RC/ Lee RC composite, with Leander’s development crew of Alex Clack and Josh Lomas in third, just 0.6 seconds behind.

Single Sculls

Alex King and Bryn Ellery raced in the single sculls, with King placing 4th and Ellery in 9th.

 J18 Quad (J18 4x)

The Junior squad had two quads racing for the first time this season against a deep field of 64 crews. Leander ‘A’, working a powerful rhythm, produced a strong result in the time trial, qualifying for the A Final in the second fastest time. Unfortunately, the crew had to withdraw due to medical reasons and couldn’t race the final. Leander ‘B’ qualified for the C final, coming 24th in the time trial. They improved on this performance finishing second in their final and 18th overall, after a closely fought race across the field.
