Benefits of Full Membership
Full Membership of Leander Club brings many benefits and privileges:
Use of the Clubhouse
The historic Leander clubhouse is open seven days a week, and offers some of the best value dining experiences in the Thames Valley, as well as an active programme of social events throughout the year.
The Dining Room is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and we enjoy an enviable reputation for the quality of food and friendly service, while our executive chef prides himself on presenting a varied and excellent cuisine.
The Bar is often the central meeting point for Members and their guests, and offers a variety of drinks throughout the day, as well as snacks and lighter meals. During the summer months our garden decking, overlooking the river, is the ideal place to unwind.
The Tom Hoffman Library houses a world-class collection of rowing books, available to Members by arrangement, and is also an ideal place to relax, away from the hurly-burly, or to arrange a private business meeting.
The 11 en-suite bedrooms are all very well-appointed, and decorated individually by some of the most well-known rowing clubs around the world. Many of the rooms have stunning views across the Regatta course or the town. Ample free parking is available during your stay and Members are eligible for a discounted bed and breakfast rate.
Dinners and Corporate Events
Leander is the ideal venue for Private Members’ Dinners, Reunions and Weddings for up to a hundred people. Leander is also a popular forum for company events, such as board meetings, seminars, workshops, off-site groups, and small conferences. Our heritage-filled rooms and attentive staff create a most attractive atmosphere for corporate guests.
Henley Royal Regatta
Leander provides a very special base during Regatta week, when Members receive a personal badge allowing entry for all five days, as well as two guest badges for each day. Members can entertain their friends and old crew-mates with a wide choice for lunch and dinner at the Club, as well as a choice of Bars.
We have negotiated reciprocal status for our Members with some of the most prestigious clubs around the world, including eight London Clubs, the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, the Yale Club, the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron and many more. A full list is available on our website.
Full Members of Leander are entitled to wear ‘the Pink’ which includes the tie, cap, Panama hat, cummerbund and socks. Pink pashminas, scarves and brooches are also available. The rowing blazer (for men or women) bears the Leander logo ‘LC’ which is also carried on buttons, cufflinks and casual wear such as polo shirts and jumpers.
