EMILY FORD

Where learnt to row

Education

Notable performances

Emily started rowing in the footsteps of her older twin brothers – one of whom is Tom Ford, also on the GB team.

They started at school after their teacher told them to give it a go. She went to watch them at National Championships and National School Regattas where they won in a double together. This inspired her and her other brother Tom to take up the sport. The twins no longer row, but Emily and Tom both row for Great Britain.

Emily made her Olympic debut at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Games. Since then, she and team mate Esme Booth have made history, becoming the first British women to qualify two boats for an Olympic Games at the same regatta.
