Leander’s juniors took delivery of seven new Kanghua boats for this season – four singles, two doubles and a quad, all of them featuring the new hull shapes offered by the manufacturer. We are very grateful for our relationship with Kanghua. Year on year, they work with us, using feedback from our athletes to develop and build boats of the highest quality.

The step up in terms of build quality and stiffness in the new boats was immediately apparent and translated instantly into results on the water. We saw a strong early season showing at the Pairs Head, where the Leander Juniors won J18 2X. We followed up this success in our brand-new quad scull, racing it for the first time to a second-place finish at the Schools Head of the River. Then, after extensive training in the new Kanghua single sculls, we saw our Dutch Junior selected for the WRU19C.

It’s been exciting to build through a summer campaign with this newest range of Kanghua boats and we are looking forward to flying into Henley Royal.
