Leander Bicentenary Events

To mark the Club’s bicentenary in 2018, we shall be holding a number of very special events, in the UK and around the world, to help celebrate our achievements across the past two hundred years.

The core ethos of Leander Club is centred on good oarsmanship and good fellowship, and we hope these events will not only give Members much to enjoy, but will augment our outreach programme which is so important in leaving a lasting legacy within our sport.

In addition, we are using the opportunity presented by our bicentenary to create a new design for our gateway. This will afford both easier and safer boat access and provide a more imposing entrance, allowing smoother flow during the Regatta. Funding will be raised through a new and very special appeal via the launch of our 200 Club.

We welcome ideas for other activities (especially if you are prepared to help organise them), and here is the current list of planned events for your diary:
