henley_living_advent_calendarNow well established in the Leander Calendar for family of all ages and friends. A performance by a local ‘surprise’ act takes place outside at 6pm with a complimentary drink and a mince pie.

Please book for the early evening two-course buffet. Dress is very casual and the emphasis is on keeping warm. Give that Christmas jumper airing and bring all the family. £23 per head for the buffet.

There’s still time to book your Christmas Party here at Leander.


Members enjoy special discounted rates but non-members can still enjoy the ambiance of historic Clubhouse whilst sampling our traditional Christmas fare. All Christmas menus come with crackers, a traditional three-course meal , coffee and mincemeat fancies.  With the Club decorated throughout, this is the perfect setting to celebrate your office party.  Or let us take the hassle out of Christmas by hosting an early family Christmas party here at the Club?

Turkey Sculls

Thursday 22nd December 2016 1pm onwards

turkey-sculls-winners-2015Everyone is welcome to watch our traditional Turkeys Sculls event at 13.00pm when Leander athletes (juniors, seniors, including our Olympians and world champions and veterans from  ‘rent-a-crew’) race scratch quads over 100m for prize turkeys. Hot beverages will be available throughout racing. Or why not stay for a clubhouse lunch afterwards?

Tom Copas, Founder of Copas Turkeys will be watching proceedings and presenting the winning crew with an award winning free range, hand plucked, game hung Turkey each for Christmas.
