Whatever the occasion – a low-key evening with friends, lunch with your partner, or a celebration in grander style – you will want a venue and ambience to match.
Leander Club will more meet your expectations, offering you a choice of five different air-conditioned rooms.
The entrance hall and main staircase immerse you at once in the building’s past, as honours boards and portraits catalogue the club’s successes at Henley Royal Regatta and the Olympic Games.
On the main first-floor public area you’ll find:
- The Drawing Room, its tables formally laid for lunch or dinner
- Off it the Main Bar, comfortably furnished and ideal for drinks and snacks
- A Members’ Bar with its more informal atmosphere
- The Dining Room Restaurant, with space for up to 80 dinner guests
The Dining Room directly overlooks the Thames, where the water slips gracefully under the bridge. It is a perfect vantage-point for surveying the picture-postcard market town of Henley-on-Thames. The room is considered by many to have a special 'feel’, due to its glorious views and inescapable sense of history.
Finally, on the corner, is the Members Balcony Room, with windows
on two sides opening on to yet more river scenes. It lends itself to
smaller, more intimate gatherings for up to 30 guests. It can also be
combined with the Dining Room for larger events.
