SOCIAL Calendar

Leander Club enjoys an active social life year-round, with a wide variety of events for members and their guests. In addition to Henley Royal Regatta, social highlights include the Annual Dinner in November and dinner dances to celebrate Christmas and Valentine's Day. Regular fine dining and wine appreciation events are predicatbly popular. There are a range of other entertainments, talks and oportunities to meet our crews and to celebrate their success.

Amomg the highlights for that period are the Beijing Olympic Luncheon and two Olympic Finals breakfasts the following weekend, a black tie dinner in London in October (guest of honour Sir Matthew Pinsent) and a welcome-home reception for our Olympic athletes at the club shortly afterwards. This year, our Annual Dinner will be followed by a new event, the Chairman's Dinner for Associate Members (guest of honour Andy Ripley). Given the success of the recent 'Frank Sinatra' evening, there will be an evening with 'Noel Coward' - similar in format, if a little different in style!
