DoB: 9 June 1989

Place of birth: Henley-on-Thames

Home town: Henley-on-Thames

Weight: 92kg

Height: 1.95m

Will Satch learned to row at Shiplake College, where Athol Hundermark was master-in-charge. By far the best rower at his school he moved to Leander Club to further his sporting ambitions and, at the age of 19, he was a member of the winning Thames Cup eight at Henley Royal Regatta in 2008.

The following year he gained his first GB vest as a member of the U23 men's four at the 2009 World Championships in the Czech Republic, where his crew finished in 11th place. Earlier in the year he had competed at the inaugural Youth Olympic Festival in Australia where he won gold in the men's eight and silver in the men's quad.

In 2010 Will was a member of the Leander four which lost the final of the Visitors’ Challenge Cup at Henley to the Leander/Durham lightweight composite which later won gold at the World U23 Championships. At those same championships in Belarus Will was a member of the GB men’s eight which won the bronze medal.

The following year Will got his first taste of action in the senior squad when he was selected for the GB men’s eight at the World Cup regatta in Munich where his crew won the silver medal. Later in the season he competed in his third World U23 Championships where won a second successive bronze in the GB eight in Amsterdam.

At the start of the World Cup season for 2012 Will was selected for the GB men’s pair with George Nash of Molesey BC.
