Leander press officer named 'Rowing Journalist of the Year
1 July 09: The British Association of Rowing Journalists last night awarded Robert Treharne Jones their highest accolade. The trophy was presented to the 'voice of world rowing' at the River and Rowing Museum to mark his international commentary work with FISA, which has including many world championships as well as the Beijing Olympics. |
Leander freshmen make US final
28 June 09: Denied the opportunity to compete at Henley the Leander freshmens VIII made the long trip to the USA to enter the National Championships. Despite the presence of the entire US squad they put in a highly creditable performance to reach the final, finishing sixth overall. |
