Wintery finish to racing year

20 December 09: Leander athletes celebrated the Christmas holiday in style by staging their own annual regatta, competing for prize turkeys. Report and picture here.

Fours Head called off

14 November 09: This year's Head was called off at the eleventh hour when cross headwinds coupled with an ebb tide created unrowable conditions over the Championship course.

Glorious gold for GB men's four

31 August 09: The new GB men's four won gold in Poznan where six Leander athletes won medals as part of Team GB's tally of three gold, five silver and a bronze. Race reports, pictures, crew lists and progression charts here.

Golden Girls at World Under-23s

Leander press officer named 'Rowing Journalist of the Year

1 July 09: The British Association of Rowing Journalists last night awarded Robert Treharne Jones their highest accolade. The trophy was presented to the 'voice of world rowing' at the River and Rowing Museum to mark his international commentary work with FISA, which has including many world championships as well as the Beijing Olympics.

Leander freshmen make US final

28 June 09: Denied the opportunity to compete at Henley the Leander freshmens VIII made the long trip to the USA to enter the National Championships. Despite the presence of the entire US squad they put in a highly creditable performance to reach the final, finishing sixth overall.

Rude awakening for Team GB in Munich

21 June 09: More than half the Leander athletes in Team GB came home with medals from the second World Cup regatta of the season in Munich. Reports and pictures here.

Double success at Henley Women's Regatta

21 June 09: Debbie Flood and Jane Hall returned to their winning ways in the double sculls, while Rachel Jefferies and Vicky Bryant took Leander's second win of the regatta in the elite pairs.

Three crews in Top Ten at Head
